-The Pie Night fundraiser brought in $220! THANK YOU to everyone who came! It was fun and successful! I lowered the goal on the ChipIn page and blog widget to $4,680 because, as I mentioned before here, PayPal won't let me donate to my own ChipIn and that is the only way for me to update the total raised. When I receive check or cash donations, there is no way to update the amount raised, so I just lower the goal instead.

-I bought my ticket on Thursday morning! The Lord is good and allowed me to find this incredible website, Fly for Good. I bought a ticket to Lima for 70% less than the airline tickets I had researched back in October. Fly for Good is an incredible website that provides discounted airfares to those volunteering abroad. I'm leaving on July 31st at 11:30am!

-The orphanage has reached a place where it is necessary to begin charging long-term volunteers for room and board. It will just be $1 a day. Which means my volunteer trip will cost an additional $365 dollars, or $30 a month. Given how much I saved on the airline ticket, I won't be changing the fundraising goal.
